The kids learned at an assembly today that we hit our goal of $20,000! They were beyond excited to find out there will be an inflatable obstacle course in PE for a day. Click HERE to hear their excitement!
They also enjoyed the "special performance" by Mr. Paulson, who rode into the gym on his UNICYCLE! He encouraged kids to try new things and learn new skills, just like he did as a child when he learned to ride the unicycle. It was a great assembly...Top runners were honored, raffle prizes were announced and the kids' accomplishments for running and fundraiser were celebrated. The PTA couldn't be more proud of the students and their efforts and attitudes!

We are still accepting Funds Run donations in the office, if you have pledges that came in after the deadline. We also accept donations online at www.candalariapta.org. Calling all Candalaria Parents & Grandparents interested in art! ART LITERACY informational meeting & fall training Tuesday, October 11th, 3:35-4:30 pm in Room 9 Art Literacy is a Candalaria PTA-funded program that brings three art appreciation lessons and hands-on art projects to every classroom at Candalaria Elementary. The Art Literacy program is run by volunteers who present a short art history lesson, which is already prepared by an art educator. Volunteers then lead children in making their own artwork inspired by influential artists such as Pablo Picasso and Georgia O’Keeffe.
The PTA uses email to communicate with parents about a host of Candalaria events, issues and news. We recently changed the platform we use to send those emails, and while the new system is an improvement in many ways, we have discovered it may increase the likelihood of PTA email being directed to spam, junk or non-inbox folders.
To avoid our email being sent to your junk or spam folder, please add "candalariapta@gmail.com" to your email contacts. If you find an email in the junk folder, marking as "not junk" will also help redirect future email. You may also need to check your spam filter to verify that our address is not on the "blocked" list. Additionally, if you use gmail, your PTA email blasts may be re-routed to your "promotions" folder. To resolve this issue, navigate to your promotions folder and drag the email to your inbox. This will prompt gmail to ask if you would like future emails from the PTA to be sent to your inbox. If you are not receiving PTA email blasts and would like to please subscribe here: |
