❒ ART LITERACY
Chairpersons will choose artist/style on
which to focus and prepare art activities.
Volunteers will teach art lessons 2-4 times
during the year.

❒ AUCTION
Committee chairpersons will choose theme,
décor, date, and venue for the auction.
Volunteers will procure items, decorate,
and help at the auction.

❒ BATTLE OF THE BOOKS
Schedule battles among teams at lunch hours,
assist with questions and scoring, and print
shirts and certificates. (January-March)

❒ BOOK FAIR
Work with Scholastic to provide fall and spring
book sales. Assist with set-up, take down, and
before or after school sales.

❒ BOX TOPS
Collect, count and mail-in box tops periodically
during the year.

❒ CAMERA CONNECTION
5th grade parent assisting with photo printing
and organizing after students’ 6 weeks lesson.

❒ CHESS CLUB
Supervise after-school chess games among
students and provide instruction if able. Chess
tournaments may be included.

❒ DISPLAY CASES
Change out display cases periodically per
activities and update PTA bulletin board.

❒ FALL BBQ
Help set up and clean up at mid-September
Friday night family meal.

❒ FIELD DAY
Help run activities on last day of school.

❒ FIFTH GRADE COMMITTEE
Plan and fundraise for end of year celebration
and to pay a third of Camera Connection.
Assist teachers with graduation & reception
around 1:30 on 2nd-to-last day of school.

❒ FUND$ RUN
Promote run, prepare student pledge sheets,
count laps, award most laps.

❒ 100 MILE CLUB
Assist in counting laps for runners once or twice a week after school. 
❒ ICE CREAM AND THE ARTS
In May, hang art work for classroom teachers.

❒ LOST AND FOUND
Periodically hang lost clothing that collects
near gym, outdoors, and in the cafeteria. Take
to nonprofit Helping Hands in January & June.

❒ MATH 24
Meet after school with 4th and 5th graders
playing Math 24, determine teams for
tournament at McKay High School in early April.

❒ MEMORY BOOK
Run student design contest for cover, collect
and take photos throughout year, send out
order forms, and work with LifeTouch to
produce yearbook.

❒ MUSIC Assist at music performances or be
a choir accompanist (piano).

❒ PICTURE DAY
Be available to assist kids awaiting pictures
(fall and spring).

❒ PTA EXECUTIVE BOARD
Prepare budget, choose fundraisers,
communicate with school community, and
find opportunities to best support our children
and teachers.

❒ RELAYS
Help students prepare for the Country Kids
Relay and/or Mayor’s Mile in spring (grades
1-5). Supervise practice at lunch recess.

❒ SCIENCE NIGHT
Organize, plan, coordinate, and set-up science
activities for October Science Night.

❒ TALENT SHOW
Assist in rehearsal (Sunday) and show (Monday)
at Parrish Middle School in late April or early
May. Help create script and program.

❒ TEACHER APPRECIATION
Provide part of lunch for staff in May.

❒ WEDNESDAY TREATS
Bring treats for staff (choose a date)
