Dear Candalaria Families,
On behalf of the Auction Committee, we would like to personally welcome you to a special community event on June 4, 2022, from 3-6 PM, at Coria Estates. Traditionally, Candalaria's annual auction takes place in the spring with ample time to prepare and many volunteers. After taking the last two years off from holding any in-person events, we were unsure if this would be the year to bring back the auction - it wasn't clear if in-person events would be possible. Many businesses have paused donation requests and others had to close their doors during the pandemic making procurement a question as well.
Over the past two years, we have all had to shift our expectations; many time-honored traditions look differently now. In that spirit, this year, we are welcoming you to join us at a special community event - part end-of-the-year gathering, part auction - to connect with one another.
Candalaria has always been about community, and this will be your opportunity to meet new faces, connect with old friends, and learn a little more about our school.
We had another shift in this year’s planning and our special community event will move to Coria Estates in South Salem. This event will be more of an opportunity to celebrate being with one another more so than focused on an auction. With that, we will have a small silent auction and opportunities to contribute to Candalaria's capital project, a sensory room for all students.
Next year, we hope to return to a more traditional auction, we thank you for hanging in with us.
Please let us know you plan to join us by submitting your RSVP on the Candalaria PTA website, and please invite your friends and neighbors to join us! This is an event for everyone who supports Candalaria and our south Salem kiddos!
